Kinderzimmer Feelings

CocoRosie leiden, und ich leide mit ihnen. Sie gehören für mich zu den besten Popbands des Jahrzehnts. So kombinieren sie viele verschiedene Klänge wie Katzenmiauen, Föns, Spielzeug und eben alles, was sich im Kinderzimmer oder Flohmarkt finden lässt. Dazu singen sie wie ein fröhliches, schüchternes oder leidendes Kleinkind, operettenhaft und “normal”.

Dieser melancholische Klangteppich, der sich langsam über einem ausbreitet, wirkt wie eine Reise in eine andere Welt: so bunt, kindlich und doch befremdlich. Öffnet man sich dieser Reise, kann man mit Noah’s Ark schön schaurige Popmusik genießen, frei von jeglichen Klischees.

An dunklen und kalten Tagen nehm ich diese CD und schiebe sie in den CD-Player, mache mir einen Tee mit Honig und kuschel mich mit einer Decke in meinen Sessel. Ich mache eine Reise auf einem Teppich. Schließen sie die Augen, ihre Arme werden ganz schwer…
